About the workplace

In the city, the social administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so they can take an active part in society.

The Family Law unit in Helsingborg is a collaborative entity where eight municipalities cooperate: Helsingborg, Bjuv, Båstad, Höganäs, Klippan, Svalöv, Åstorp, and Örkelljunga. Together, we work to offer residents an equivalent and accessible family law service of high quality. Through collaboration, we create conditions for more preventive work – where the needs of the child are always in focus.

To meet the needs of residents regarding custody, housing, and visitation, we need reinforcement from you who are a trained social worker and have a burning interest in children whose parents are in conflict.

Job Responsibilities

As a family law secretary, you will work to support children and parents in difficult life situations. You have the ability to see beyond the conflict and focus on the child's needs – and you actively contribute to preventing harm to children.

Your job responsibilities include, among other things:

• Information meetings
• Quick inquiries
• Investigations regarding custody, housing, and visitation
• Cooperation meetings
• Visitation support
• Parenting investigations
• Adoption cases
• Contract procedures
• Handling according to the method of Conflict and Reconciliation in cooperation with the district court

Qualifications

To work in this incredibly rewarding, yet sometimes very challenging job, you need to have a degree in social work. Experience in the field of family law is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good self-awareness and is secure in your professional role
• Is empathetic, structured, and flexible
• Enjoys working both independently and in a team
• Has good communication skills in both speech and writing
• Has personal maturity, a positive outlook, and preferably a twinkle in the eye
• Preferably has a driver's license and can drive a car
